When painting in areas with high humidity or moisture like coastal regions or bathrooms and kitchens, use coatings with anti-fungal and bacterial resistant properties i.e. PinAcle, EnviroSilk®, HydroShell or TruVelvet®.
Address a possibility of external leakage.
Do not paint over surfaces with moisture content above 15% measured with an ultrasonic meter or over 5% with a pin-type meter.
Remedy
Water stains: allow to dry and apply UniversalUndercoat stain-locking primer.
Mildew / algae: wash affected areas with anti-fungal solution, rinse well with clean water, allow to dry and apply UniversalUndercoat stain-locking primer.
Repaint with an anti-fungal and bacterial resistant coating i.e. PinAcle, EnviroSilk®, HydroShell or TruVelvet®.
