Imperfections

Non uniform marks on prepared and finished substrates.

Cause / Prevention / Tips

  • If a smooth uniform finish is required, skim entire surface with interior Skim.
  • Sheen to gloss paints are prone to highlight surface imperfections.
  • Matt to low sheen paints will hide minor surface imperfections.

Remedy

  • Sand to a uniform, smooth and stable surface.
  • If imperfections remain repaint entire surface with a matt to low sheen paint.
  • Repaint entire surface from corner to corner.
